    John Presbury Norton Farm

Tired of the Beach? The Trail is Waiting.

A hundred acres of farms and woods along the cross-town trail.

From the Land Bank’s description: A missing link — not just any link, but one of singular beauty — in the planned cross-West Tisbury trail was secured with the conservation of this property. As a result, a continuous public trail of some four miles in length will be in place from Duarte’s Pond on the Lambert’s Cove Road to the Old County Arboretum opposite the town school. The land’s chief appeal, however, is its active and expansive farmfields. Hikers will appreciate the contrast between the dry, open plains here against the sopping wetlands on the abutting Wompesket Preserve.
