Thimble Farm

Another gem on the Cross Town Trail. This is 35 plus acres of farmland forever…

From the Land Bank’s description: Thimble Farm was long a fixture on the Island, known for its innovative hydroponic greenhouses. The land surrounding the greenhouses is flat and well-suited to farming. The Land Bank purchased the land’s development rights, plus a circumferential trail leading past Little Duarte’s Pond, which is a designated “special place” under the Martha’s Vineyard Commission law.
