Sweetened Water Preserve

From the Land Bank’s description: Edgartown takes justifiable pride in its scenic West Tisbury Road, which is the occidental entrance into town center. Formerly overgrown and hosting a prominent house, this property was restored to open grassland via the off-premises relocation of the house and a round of mowing by the land bank. As a result, the land now blends into the road’s long corridor of fields and the mowing has exposed the blue disk of the Sweetened Water Pond.

Getting there: Edgartown West Tisbury Road, .8 miles from Cook Street, just before Morning Glory Farm.
