The Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series, curated by Island resident Adam Epstein and Chicago-based live event producer, Innovation Arts and Entertainment, announced a 13-show lineup for the 2019 summer season.
Year four of the Martha’s Vineyard Concert Series presents comedy and musical artists that cross all genres of popular music. The 2019 Concert Series features singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot, Jamaican American musician Stephen Marley, female folk trio I’m With Her, and more. The series features the return of the hip-hop strings of Black Violin presented by ProductionsMV, popular author and humorist David Sedaris, and American political satire group the Capitol Steps.
According to a press release, the M.V. Concert Series and WMVY Radio announced the continuation of last year’s dual membership program. For a limited time, running until Saturday, April 27, all 2019 memberships to the M.V. Concert Series will automatically earn a one-year membership to WMVY. In addition, during the member drive, the M.V. Concert Series will donate 20 percent of all the Concert Series membership dues to WMVY. As last season, in 2019 there will be three tiers of memberships. The WMVY/M.V. Concert Series memberships will cost $100 to $1,000. The press release states that each dual membership includes priority access to Concert Series tickets, events, and exclusive discounts on the best seats in the house.
Also, M.V. Concert Series members will have priority access to Beach Road Weekend VIP tickets. Beach Road Weekend, a three-day multimedia festival, was just announced by M.V. Concert Series, and will take place August 9-11 at Veterans Memorial Park. Different tiers of membership will allow access to certain offerings for the festival, including the guarantee of eight VIP reserved seats for the festival. Dual memberships will also include free monthly MP3 downloads, automatic entry into some MVY sweepstakes, and access to WMVY members-only contests.
