    Can’t miss events this September on Martha’s Vineyard

    September is upon us, and fall is in the air, but Martha’s Vineyard is still an exciting place to be! Enjoy these early autumn events while the weather is still warm and the crowds have lessened.

    Through Sept. 16
    “Our” Story: 400 Years of Wampanoag History Exhibit
    Aquinnah Cultural Center, Aquinnah, 11 am – 4 pm
    The interactive traveling exhibit, told in the Native voice, shines a light on historic events that had a significant impact on the Wampanoag tribe, its relationship with the Mayflower Pilgrims, and the founding of Plymouth Colony, cornerstone events that shaped America’s earliest beginnings.     Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby
    For over 70 years, the Derby has been a time to renew friendships, share a cup of coffee, and create memories that fuel the winters exaggerated fishing stories. For more information visit mvderby.com.

    Oak Bluffs Open Market
    Washington Park, Oak Bluffs, Sundays 10 am – 2 pm
    Enjoy Sundays in the park by the sea. The Oak Bluffs Open Market is an ever-changing fun mix of local produce, specialty foods, arts, crafts, antique and vintage dealers, massage and more.

    Sept. 16
    Tivoli Day
    Circuit Ave, Oak Bluffs, 10 am – 6 pm
    An annual celebration of summer’s end on Circuit Avenue featuring live music, arts, crafts, great food, and family fun. Rain date is Sept. 17. For more information visit oakbluffsmarina.com.
