Description
Established circa 2007, Fiddlehead Farm came into being as a go to farm market to provision, to get delicious ingredients to put together a meal without having to stop at a dozen places. They offer fresh-picked produce grown out back, which is sold in the store along side a myriad of grocery items chosen with an eye for quality, much of it being organic. Check their sign board out front for specials of the day.
History
The site of Fiddlehead Farm has a history dating back to the 1950s when farmer Louis Green sold fresh produce to anyone who stopped by. The farming tradition was then carried on by Donnie Mills, and now by Robert Skydell. He currently operates a farm market with all things for your picnic or evening meal. With a restaurant background, provisions are chosen with a cook’s passion for taste and flavor. Bob grows produce on a 1/3 acre out back, intensively planted and designed for maximum production. Along side his organic produce, he supports local farmers by providing a traditional farm stand, selling what they grow. The Fiddlehead Farm stand carries an array of foods ranging from baked goods to meats, to cheeses, to pastas and oils to specialty grocery items, and expression of his interest and passions over the years.
